About

Rules-based, high-risk strategy: ride uptrends with 3x tech/market ETFs, hedge or short in downtrends, and buy sharp dips for quick rebounds. Uses RSI and trend filters; can switch to volatility, long Treasuries, or gold during stress.
NutHow it works
Two sleeves. 1) Trend sleeve (most $): If the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average, ride the uptrend with 3x stock ETFs (UPRO, TQQQ, SOXL/TECL). If below, hedge with volatility (UVXY/VIXY), sometimes short tech (SQQQ), or shift to long bonds (TMF) or gold. Uses RSI (a 0–100 “heat” gauge: low=washed‑out, high=frothy) and moving averages. 2) “Low‑catchers”: make small, quick‑rebound bets after sharp drops/very low RSI in sectors (esp. semis). Big one‑day plunges flip to UVXY/TMF. Small slices in BIL, GLD, TLT.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this regime-switching, rules-based strategy captures tech uptrends with leveraged ETFs, while hedging dips with volatility, Treasuries, and gold, delivering better upside capture and lower drawdowns than the S&P 500 across regimes.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
