This strategy first asks: is the U.S. stock market in a healthy long-term uptrend or not? It uses SPY (a fund tracking the S&P 500) versus its 200-day average to decide. Then it checks whether the market looks calm, overheated, or panicky using RSI, a speedometer for how unusually strong or weak recent price moves have been. If conditions look good, it buys leveraged stock funds like UPRO, SSO, QLD, or SOXL to amplify gains. If conditions look dangerous, it shifts into crash-sensitive UVXY or safer holdings like XLP, BIL, GLD, and sometimes TLT.
