About
Fast, tactical ETF approach: ride semiconductor rallies with SOXL, flip to SOXS or safe assets when short-term heat checks and bond-vs-stock signals warn. Uses T-bills (BIL), gold (UGL), commodities (DBC), plus small consumer/healthcare tilts (XLY, XLV).
The strategy tries to surf big uptrends in semiconductor stocks using SOXL (a 3x bullish semiconductor fund) and step aside—or bet against them with SOXS (3x bearish)—when short-term “too hot/too cold” readings flash. It cross-checks stocks vs Treasury-bond funds to judge risk-on/off, and can park in BIL (cash-like T-bills), add UGL (2x gold), DBC (commodities), or hedges like SH/PSQ (inverse S&P/Nasdaq). A small sleeve rotates into XLY (consumer) and XLV (healthcare) when their leaders look healthy.
Out-of-sample annualized return 43.36% vs SPY 27.90%, with Calmar ~1.73. Tactical semis momentum plus risk-on/off hedges aim for big uptrends and timely exits, delivering higher upside and regime diversification, but with higher drawdown risk.
