About

Daily, rules-first “all‑semis” strategy that flips between 3x long (SOXL) and 3x short (SOXS) based on how stretched chips look, fear levels, and stock/bond trends. Adds UVXY, TQQQ/TECL, and bond trades (TMF/TMV) as hedges. Very high risk, high reward.
NutHow it works
Daily, rule-driven shifts. - Fear check: UVXY. High fear → defensive; low → aggressive. - Chip focus: watch SMH. Big down day → buy SOXL (3x long semis) for a rebound; big up day → buy SOXS (3x short semis) for a pullback. “Stretched” = RSI (0–100 speed/heat); trend = moving averages. - Bonds confirm: falling rates → TMF; rising → TMV. If shaky, use cash‑like T‑Bills (BIL/SHY). - Sometimes uses TQQQ/TECL (3x tech) or UVXY in panics. Mainly semiconductors; also tech, bonds; occasionally energy/oil, dollar, Brazil.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets big upside: ~47% annualized return vs ~22% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.19 and solid risk-adjusted metrics. Hedging and regime switches aim to protect downside, though drawdowns can reach ~40%.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
