About

A daily, semiconductor‑focused strategy that swings between 3× long and 3× short chip ETFs, adds short bursts of VIX hedges, and uses bond/commodity cues to go defensive. Very aggressive, high‑turnover, high‑risk with potential for outsized gains and drawdowns.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks how “hot” or “cold” markets are (a 0–100 ‘hot/cold’ score, big one‑day moves, and trend). When chips look strong, it rides SOXL (3× long semis). When they’re too hot or falling, it flips to SOXS (3× short semis) or briefly buys volatility (UVXY). Bond and commodity signals tell it when to go defensive in cash/treasuries/currencies.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this chip-driven strategy targets ~46% annualized returns vs 23% for the S&P, with a Calmar ~1.17. It uses macro filters and volatility hedges to tame risk, but expect higher volatility and drawdowns in tough periods.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
