A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A high-octane, semiconductor-first, rules-based strategy. It rides 3x tech in uptrends, flips to VIX when stocks are stretched, and uses bond and commodity signals to decide when to short or seek safety. Rebalanced daily; very high risk.
NutHow it works
It’s a daily, rules-driven swing trader. Most of the time it rides 3x tech/semiconductor funds (TQQQ, SOXL). If markets look “hot” (RSI = a speedometer of recent gains), it flips to VIX funds (UVXY) to bet on a pullback. If they look washed out (low RSI), it buys the dip—unless bonds disagree, in which case it shorts (SQQQ/SOXS) or uses Treasuries (TMF/TMV). It also checks bond trends (TLT), cash vs bonds (BIL vs IEF), and stocks vs commodities (SPY vs DBC).
CheckmarkValue prop
Semiconductors‑led strategy seeks big upside with regime hedges. In out-of-sample tests it delivered ~39.4% annualized return vs SPY ~22.3%. Calmar ~1.18 signals solid risk‑adjusted gains, though drawdowns can be larger (~33.5%) than SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
