About

A rules‑based, risk‑on/risk‑off system that rides tech and semiconductor strength with leveraged ETFs when trends look healthy, and shifts to cash, bonds, gold, dollar, or inverse hedges when volatility or rates flash danger. Avoids K‑1 funds.
NutHow it works
Uses three dials to switch offense/defense: 1) stock trend (is the S&P 500 above its 200‑day average?), 2) fear/volatility (UVXY), 3) interest‑rate trend (TLT). Offense = leveraged tech/Nasdaq and semis (TQQQ, SOXL) plus S&P 500 (UPRO). Defense = cash‑like T‑bills (BIL), short‑term Treasuries (SHY/BSV), dollar (UUP/USDU), gold (GLD), staples (XLP), or inverse hedges (SQQQ). RSI is a 0–100 “heat” gauge; high=hot, low=washed‑out.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy pursues higher upside with risk controls: ~28.7% annualized return vs 21.7% (S&P), Calmar ~1.02, Sharpe ~0.92. Expect larger drawdowns (~28% vs ~19%), but stronger tech/semis gains when trends fire.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
