About

A daily 50/50 barbell: chase big tech rallies with 3x funds when trends are healthy; cut or hedge quickly in selloffs; a separate bond sleeve flips between long/short Treasuries or cash by trend. Very aggressive; built to switch fast.
NutHow it works
It splits money roughly 50/50. Stocks: ride strong trends with โ€œturboโ€ tech funds (TQQQ=3x Nasdaqโ€‘100, SOXL=3x semis, TECL=3x tech, UPRO=3x S&P, URTY=3x smallโ€‘caps). If markets overheat or roll over, it cuts risk or hedges (PSQ/SQQQ=short Nasdaqโ€‘100, UVXY/SVXY=volatility, XLP/SPLV/BTAL/UUP/Treasuries). Bonds: rotate among TMF/TLT (long Treasuries), TMV (short Treasuries) and Tโ€‘Bills (BIL/SHV) by trend. Uses price vs averages, quick drops/gains and a โ€œhot/coldโ€ meter (RSI). Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, the strategy shows positive risk-adjusted returns (Sharpe ~0.59, Calmar ~0.43) and ~13.5% annualized gains over ~1.9 years, with hedging and a bond sleeve for diversification, potentially smoother risk than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesnโ€™t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
