About

A rules-based, short‑term strategy centered on semiconductor ETFs. When chips look overheated it shorts them; when they cool fast it buys. Otherwise it rotates into dollar, gold, commodities, bonds or cash, plus a small Costco/UNH defense. High risk.
NutHow it works
- Watch a chipmakers fund (SOXX) with a 0–100 “speedometer.” If it’s very hot, short semis (SOXS). If it cooled fast, often buy semis (SOXL). - If neither, rotate using quick checks on stocks vs bonds and the dollar: shift among semis, the U.S. dollar (UUP/USDU), gold (UGL), commodities (DBC) or T‑bills (BIL), and sometimes hedge with inverse S&P/QQQ. - Keep a small defense sleeve that flips between Costco/UnitedHealth and T‑bills.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~56.9% annualized return vs SPY’s ~20.6%, with Calmar ~1.10. It leverages semiconductor signals and macro rotations with hedges—offering explosive upside for aggressive, informed investors who accept higher drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
