About
Daily, RSI‑driven semiconductor timing. Switches between 3× bull (SOXL), 3× bear (SOXS), or mostly cash (BIL). Buys dips short‑term but takes a contrarian bear stance when semis look long‑term “too hot.” High risk; this governs 50% of the account.
Tracks semiconductors via SOXX (a chip‑stock fund). Uses RSI, a 0–100 “heat” gauge: high = recently surged, low = recently fell. Trades 3× funds SOXL (bull) and SOXS (bear); parks cash in BIL (T‑bills).
Rules (checked daily):
- If SOXX long‑term RSI(200) > 65: go SOXS (bet on pullback).
- Else if SOXX short‑term RSI(2) < 42: if SOXL RSI(4) < 57 go SOXL, else SOXS.
- Else: 80% BIL, 20% SOXS. Runs as a 50% sleeve. High risk.
Out-of-sample annualized return ~47% vs S&P ~23%, with solid risk-adjusted metrics (Calmar ~0.93, Sharpe ~0.87). Note higher drawdowns (~50%), but it captures semiconductor cycles via 3x ETFs and tactical cash to chase upside.
