About

Daily, it uses a ‘heat’ gauge (RSI) on a semiconductor ETF (SOXX) to switch among 3x short chips (SOXS) when overheated, 3x long chips (SOXL) on oversold rebounds, or mostly T‑bills (BIL) with a small bearish hedge. High risk.
NutHow it works
It reads chip stocks as a thermometer (SOXX = semiconductor ETF). RSI is a 0–100 “heat” score of recent price moves. Daily: - If long-term heat is very high (>65), bet against chips (SOXS = 3x inverse). - Else if short-term heat is low (<42): if still soft, bet on a rebound (SOXL = 3x long); else use SOXS. - Else hold 80% T-bills (BIL) + 20% SOXS. High risk from 3x ETFs.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ≈ 47% vs ~23% for the S&P 500, powered by RSI signals in the semiconductor sector using 3x long/short ETFs. Strong upside, but higher drawdowns (~50%); best for risk-tolerant investors.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
