About

An all‑weather “Dragon” mix of growth, safety, real assets, and crash insurance. It rotates using trend, momentum, and dip‑buy rules, and tactically times long Treasuries. Includes leveraged/volatility ETFs, so swings can be sharp.
NutHow it works
It blends growth, safety, and “crash insurance.” It owns US stocks (SPY/QQQ; sometimes 3x TQQQ/UPRO) when trends are healthy, but rotates to Treasuries (TLT/TMF/TYD), gold (GLD), cash (SHV/SHY), the US dollar (UUP/USDU), and broad commodities (DBC) when conditions worsen. A small sleeve buys volatility (UVXY/VIXY/VIXM) and anti‑beta (BTAL) for crashes. Rules use long‑term trend (200‑day avg), recent drops, and RSI (0–100 “heat” gauge).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, Dragon beats the S&P 500: higher risk-adjusted returns (Sharpe ~1.68 vs ~1.41), higher annualized return (~27.5% vs ~22.5%), and much lower drawdown (~11.5% vs ~18.8%), plus lower beta (~0.69) for steadier gains and crash protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
