About

Aggressive, daily trend + mean‑reversion system. Rides S&P/Nasdaq with 3x ETFs in uptrends, cools off overheated markets with VIX funds, and shifts to Treasuries/T‑bills/gold after sharp drops. Aims for big upside with big swings.
NutHow it works
Daily: If the S&P 500 just fell hard, move to Treasuries (VGIT/BSV), T‑bills (BIL), and gold (GLD). Otherwise pick S&P or Nasdaq sleeve with bigger recent moves. Trend = price above 50/100/200‑day averages; RSI (0–100) gauges how “hot” it is. If trend up: hold 3x bull ETFs (UPRO/TQQQ) unless RSI is very high—then briefly use VIX funds (UVXY/VIXY). If trend weak/down: step down to 2x (SSO), cash (BIL), or sometimes 3x inverse tech (SQQQ).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~44% annualized return vs S&P ~23%, with ~0.95 Sharpe and ~0.71 Calmar, plus risk controls; it can endure larger drawdowns (~63% vs ~19%), delivering bigger upside with higher volatility.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
