About

Half defensive (UNH/COST or cash), half tactical tech. It buys leveraged Nasdaq in uptrends, but shifts to cash/hedges—or briefly to semis/volatility—after sharp moves, using simple “hot/cold,” drawdown, trend, and bond signals.
NutHow it works
It splits your money 50/50: - Meat Shield: Buys UnitedHealth (UNH) and Costco (COST) when they aren’t “too hot” (RSI = a simple 0–100 hot/cold score). If they’re hot or the S&P 500 just plunged, it parks in BIL (cash‑like T‑bills). - Tactical Tech: If the Nasdaq is trending up and bonds look calm, it buys TQQQ (3x Nasdaq). If stress hits, it hedges with 60% BIL + 40% SQQQ (3x inverse Nasdaq), or briefly uses SOXL (3x semis) or UVXY (volatility) after sharp moves. Tickers: SPY=S&P 500, QQQ=Nasdaq‑100, BND=bonds, IEF=7–10y Treas, TLT=20+y Treas, TMF=3x 20+y Treas.
CheckmarkValue prop
A 50/50 defensive core plus tactical Nasdaq engine with built-in hedges (BIL/SQQQ/UVXY). Aims to capture tech upside while reducing drawdowns via risk controls. Out-of-sample: ~18.3% annualized return with market-like beta and SPY diversification.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
