About

Aggressive, rules-based strategy that rides tech momentum (TQQQ/TECL/SOXL), buys sharp dips, and quickly shifts to hedges (SQQQ/SOXS), volatility (UVXY), or Treasuries/cash when markets overheat or trends weaken. Driven by RSI, volatility, and trend filters.
NutHow it works
It’s a rule-based “risk-on/risk-off” plan focused on tech. In calm uptrends it owns high-octane funds (TQQQ, TECL, SOXL). If prices look “washed out” (RSI ≈ hot/cold gauge) below ~30, it buys the dip. If things overheat (RSI > ~80) or fear jumps (UVXY spikes), it flips defensive: short tech (SQQQ/SOXS) or Treasuries/cash (TLT/BSV/BIL). Trend filters (20/200‑day averages) keep risk in check.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers stronger risk-adjusted gains than the S&P: Sharpe ~1.44 vs 1.41, Calmar ~1.97, and ~0.26% alpha with ~80.7% annualized upside. Uses tech momentum and agile hedging; note higher drawdowns (~41%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
