About

A daily, rules-based strategy that toggles between 3x tech/semis, inverse funds, bond trades, and volatility hedges. It buys strength in uptrends, buys dips after big drops, or uses UVXY when markets look overheated, guided by simple “trend” and “temperature” checks.
NutHow it works
Each day the strategy asks: Are stocks trending up or down? Are they overheated or washed out? What are bonds saying about interest rates? It then picks one ETF from a small list. - Uptrend: hold a 3x tech/semis fund (e.g., TQQQ/SOXL). - Too hot: briefly buy UVXY (fear hedge). - Big drop: buy the dip or flip to inverse ETFs, depending on bonds.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~45% annualized return vs SPY ~22%, Calmar ~1.02. A regime-aware, high-beta strategy focusing on big trends (3x tech) with hedges—designed to outperform the S&P, but with larger drawdowns in risk-off periods.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
