About

A daily Nasdaq‑100 timing strategy that holds QQQ in calm times, but after sharp sell‑offs switches to leveraged long or inverse funds. It fades quick bounces by going inverse; otherwise, it bets on a rebound using leveraged long.
NutHow it works
This is a daily switcher among QQQ and its leveraged cousins. - QQQ = big Nasdaq names (Apple, Google, Tesla, etc.). - TQQQ/QLD aim for about +3x/+2x QQQ’s daily move. - SQQQ/QID aim for about −3x/−2x QQQ’s daily move. Rules: 1) If QQQ fell >5% in 5 days: use 3x funds; if the last day jumped >1% pick SQQQ (fade the bounce), else TQQQ (rebound bet). 2) Else if QQQ fell >10% in 10 days: use 2x funds; if the last 2 days rose >2% pick QID, else QLD. 3) Otherwise hold QQQ. 100% in one fund; checked daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~37.6% annualized return vs 24.1% S&P, with solid risk-adjusted metrics (Calmar ~1.12). Uses tactical Nasdaq-100 leverage to boost gains, but accepts higher drawdowns (~33%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
