About

A fast, rules-based swing strategy that concentrates in one aggressive ETF at a time—3x long/short chipmakers, S&P 500 or Nasdaq—or briefly in volatility. It uses simple “overheated/oversold” and trend checks to chase strength and hedge when markets run hot.
NutHow it works
Daily check: Are chipmakers stronger than cash‑like T‑bills? If yes, ride chipmakers—unless the S&P 500 looks overheated, then buy market volatility. If not, a backup playbook flips between long/short chipmakers or the S&P/Nasdaq using short‑term momentum and trend. It usually goes all‑in on one fund (sometimes 80% in volatility).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~48% annualized vs ~21% for the S&P; Sharpe ~0.88, Calmar ~0.76. A rules-based tilt to semis with volatility hedges targets higher upside and disciplined risk, aiming to beat the S&P across cycles.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
