About
A very aggressive market-timing strategy that often bets on volatility when markets look overheated, and otherwise rotates between growth-stock funds and safer holdings like low-volatility stocks and short-term bonds.
This strategy constantly asks: βDoes the market look too hot?β It watches many stock, sector, commodity, and global-market funds. If one looks unusually overheated, it often buys volatility funds (UVXY/VIXY) as a hedge or speculation on turbulence.
If not, it falls back to a stock-market timing system: favor Nasdaq/S&P growth funds in strong markets, but switch to lower-risk stock and short-term bond funds when conditions weaken or get too extreme.
Dynamic, regime-driven strategy targets higher growth: out-of-sample annualized return ~26% vs ~19% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.71 indicating solid risk-adjusted performance. Drawdowns may be larger in volatility because of hedges.
