About

Daily rotation between cannabis and alcohol. If biotech is beating staples, hold a 2x cannabis fund plus the 3 strongest cannabis‑related names; otherwise hold the 3 strongest beer/spirits stocks. Simple momentum signal, concentrated, and high turnover.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks: if a biotech fund (XBI) has been stronger lately than a consumer‑staples fund (XLP), it buys “weed”; otherwise it buys “booze.” Weed = equal weights in 4 slots: a 2x cannabis fund (MSOX) plus the 3 strongest names from a cannabis/related list. Booze = equal weights in the 3 strongest beer/spirits stocks. “Strongest” means best ~2‑week average returns.
CheckmarkValue prop
A regime-driven cannabis/alcohol momentum strategy aims to capture alpha in regime shifts, diversifying S&P exposure. Out-of-sample results show higher risk and larger drawdowns, suitable only for experienced, risk-tolerant investors.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
